Guideline on Tables and Figures

Journal of BioMedical Research and Clinical Practice

Tables:

Each table should be titled and numbered sequentially (e.g., Table 1, Table 2, etc.).
Place tables in the main body of the manuscript, close to where they are first mentioned in the text.
Ensure that all data presented in tables are referenced within the main text.
Provide clear and concise headings for each column or row.
If applicable, include footnotes to explain specific details or abbreviations used in the table.
Use horizontal lines to separate the table title, column headers, and end of the table.

  • Figures:

Each figure should be titled and numbered sequentially (e.g., Figure 1, Figure 2, etc.).
Figures should be of high resolution (at least 300 dpi) for optimal print quality.
Ensure figures are clear, well-labeled, and easy to understand without reference to the main text.
If using multiple panels in a figure, label them (e.g., A, B, C) for clarity.
Provide a legend explaining any symbols, abbreviations, or special features in the figure.
Refer to figures in the main text before or after they are presented.
    Captions:

Tables and figures should have captions placed above for tables and below for figures.
Captions should be concise and provide a brief description of the content.

Source Citations:

If a table or figure is adapted or reproduced from another source, provide proper citation and seek necessary permissions.
Accessibility Considerations:

Ensure that tables and figures are accessible to readers with disabilities (e.g., provide alternative text for images).
Use clear, descriptive captions that convey the essential information.
